Local ground utility company is searching for an experienced Class A Flatbed/Lowboy driver. Driver will be responsible for loading, unloading and safe transport of various heavy equipment and machinery used in ground utility, boring, pipe laying sites. The ideal candidate will strap, chain, secure the equipment and has experience with 13-speed and lowboy trailer, and can operate heavy equipment. Work week is Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday and over time. This opportunity has potential for growth and longevity depending performance and attitude. Position is open due to 30 yr veteran driver retiring.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate trucks to transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations.


• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.


• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.


• Inspect vehicles for pretrip and post trip


• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.


• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.


• Complete required paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage reports, and vehicle inspection forms.


• Must perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and perform routine safety inspections.

• A valid Class A License (CDL)


• 2 years or more of verifiable Class A Driver experience


• Clean MVR for past 3 years.


• Prior experience operating heavy machinery/ lowboy.


• Able to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and perform physical type tasks as needed.


• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles - 13 speed

Monday to Friday

7:00am - 4/5:00pm (Overtime is available and should be expected)

Depending on Experience: $22.00 to $30.00, Heavy Equipment operating experience dictates higher pay
